Creating the Expectation, Not the Exception

It's never too late to fully embrace your role in supporting individual-driven whole-person health

Meet Julie Lago, LICSW

Julie Lago is a MA and NH Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, who brings nearly 25 years of professional experience in the disability and human services fields.  She developed Bookends Therapy to support  individuals and families in achieving true person-centered  team-based care.  Julie helps clients transform their teams and service outcomes by setting expectations for continuity of care, prioritizing decreasing silos of service delivery.

For over  11 years, Julie has worked in Community Mental Health, dedicating her career to decreasing redundancy and improving efficiency between service systems for those with dual diagnoses.  She has also worked at the University of New Hampshire’s Department of Social Work in various capacities, including as Adjunct Faculty since 2020.  Most importantly, Julie is a friend and family member of those living with I/DD/brain injury, and chronic medical conditions, thus bringing her passion for equal access to care and a life of meaning to all she works towards.

Julie and her colleagues have utilized Bookends Therapy™ as a core treatment modality in a respected  interdisciplinary team model, proving to support improved client and team outcomes.  It is our hope outreach us to further explore  into how Bookends Therapy Certification and Consultation can be of support to your team, practice, family, advocacy, etc.
